An interesting journey through two key aspects of forensics and the physics that plays an important role:

(i) The Forensic Science of Fire Investigation, understanding how fires start, how they can be prevented, and how they can be investigated.

(ii) Ballistics and the study of ammunition and firearms, and the reconstruction of shooting incidents.

Having completed his PhD on computer modelling of molecular crystals in 1984, Rob was appointed as a Lecturer at Keele in April 1988. Since then Rob was promoted to Senior Lecturer (1996) and Reader (2000).
