Copper Zirconium Memory Alloys
Dr Sergio González Sánchez
Shape memory alloys, also known as memory metals, are materials which can be deformed but return to their original shape when heated. They have many interesting applications, including jet engines design, robotics and medicine. Dr Sergio González Sánchez, from the Department of Mechanical and Construction Engineering, will present a talk about the potential of new copper-zirconium memory alloys.
Light refreshments will be served immediately before the talk.
