Joint Congress of University Astronomy Societies 2020
The Joint Congress of University Astronomy Societies is the 3rd annual conference hosted by Physics and Astronomy Societies from universities across Ireland. This is a weekend-long event where many experienced astronomers will give talks about exciting research they are carrying out and about developments yet to come. The talks are targeted at 3rd level students interested in astronomy, but is free and open to all. Speakers confirmed for this year's event include Martin Hendry of Glasgow University and Kate Maguire of Trinity College Dublin. The Joint Congress is also an excellent opportunity to meet like-minded individuals interested in astronomy, and overall is an excellent opportunity for anyone who wishes to become more deeply engaged with modern astronomy. Talks begin at 11am on Saturday and 10am on Sunday.
