Satellite Imagery and Humanitarian Crises

Speaker:  Dr Chris Lavers,  Royal Naval College

In this talk Dr Chris Lavers will survey the different ways that that high-resolution satellite images can help when tackling humanitarian crises both natural and man-made.  He will also report on his experience in working on remote sensing campaigns with Survival International, Amnesty International and HART, a company providing support for NGOs and IGOs worldwide.
