Space Adventures Code Labs
To celebrate our year of Big Data Tariq Rashid, author, technologist and code-club organiser, will be running free Space Adventures Code Labs at CAST in Helston, Cornwall. Participants will explore creative coding to design their own digital skyscapes of millions of stars and will use real space data to explore techniques – such as match filtering – that are employed by astronomers to identify new stars and find objects in space. This will be suitable for children aged 7 to 17, accompanied by a parent
Throughout the day there will be Big Data drop-in activities for families in the CAST learning studio, which is suitable for families with childrend aged 4 and upwards. No booking is required for drop-in activities and admission is free.
