Titan: The Moon that Thinks It’s a Planet

Titan, the largest moon of Saturn, shows some remarkable features which, perhaps surprisingly, have some similarities to Earth.  The recently completed Cassini/Huygens space mission has finally revealed the nature of Titan.  The similarities and the differences between Titan and Earth will be discussed as well as possible future space missions designed to explore this fascinating world. Join IOP Merseyside for the John Porter memorial lecture to find out more.
