Visit to the Large Hadron Collider at CERN Geneva - Sorry, Sold Out

This event is now sold out

Stewart Coulter is planning another REMS visit to the LHC in September. This is a particularly good opportunity as the LHC is closed for upgrading so that there will be access to the underground ring and one or two of the great underground experimental chambers. There will also be a fondue party in a Swiss restaurant in the city on the Sunday evening. The event itself takes place over Sat 21 Sept and Sun 22 Sept and it is expected that many participants will wish to stay three nights, Fri 20 -  Sun 22 Sept

Note that the visit itself is free, but food,  travel and accommodation will have to be paid for.  Participants will need to organise their own travel and to stay on-site in the CERN hostel paying their own accommodation bills on checking out. A current draft of the flyer should enable you to decide whether you wish to participate and express an interest (see link below). Pay particular attention to the paragraph headed COST AND RESERVING. It is very important that we have numbers wishing to come by 20 June so that sufficient accommodation can be booked in advance. As ever, book early to avoid disappointment.

You can find current detailed flyers on the REMS website at . Click on the tab Events: current to go to a list of event flyers

Please can you note the DEADLINE 20 JUNE FOR HOTEL BOOKING.

Please do not book places through this IOP site, but respond to Stewart at [email protected]
